Ring with Murano glass top, handmade with lampworking technique, decorated with cobalt blue dots covered by a layer of crystal, and mounted on a high-quality stainless steel base.
The glass part is decorated using the same technique I use for my Fenice beads: a leaf of silver is wrapped around hot glass during the working process and then oxidized until it becomes one with the base. On this assembled base, the dot decoration is applied until the desired design is achieved. Once the decoration is complete, the glass part is placed in a furnace, called a “muffola,” which controls the cooling process, gradually bringing it down to room temperature. This final step is crucial for allowing the glass to stabilize as much as possible and preventing any tensions that could affect its final quality.
The craftsmanship of this ring is further enhanced by a handcrafted steel base, a result of collaboration with an expert Spanish artisan.
The metal base is adjustable in width, allowing you to perfectly fit it to your finger. Unlike other metal ring bases, here the open part is completely hidden, giving the ring a polished, elegant, and contemporary look.
